This walk will follow the tramway from the exchange sidings at the end of the Grassington Branch to Threshfield limestone quarries in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We will also trace the short-lived branch to the associated coal mine. Part of the walk includes some hilly ground.
Meet at the entrance to Skipton Railway Station at 10.45 to catch the 10.55 route 72R Grassington bus to the site of Grassington & Threshfield Station where the walk will commence. Car drivers should park by 11.15 near the site of Grassington & Threshfield Station where they will finish at the end of the walk. Six miles, bring a packed lunch. Leader: Douglas Robinson (email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07741499967).
